Meeting called to order 1810 by Malouff.

1. Approval of minutes. Motion by Boulding/Wolf to defer till November meeting because few who attended Sept. meeting are present. Carried unan.

2. Treasurer’s report – Moreland. Handed out Profit/Loss 11/06–9/07, Pig Roast accounting, 9/30/07 balance sheet. We have lost money on pig roast and Wednesday picnic. Motion by Boulding/Onofrio to accept report. Carried unan.

3. Race Director Report – Burley. For Columbus Day Regatta: Onofrio will help GPS marks on Friday. Simpson will get forms for Sabino. Juiceplus will distribute free juice. Boulding – lake is low, marks may need to be moved on Friday. Trophies are ordered – J22, U20, PHRF A, PHRF B.

4. Social Director – no report.

5. Columbus Day Regatta – Boulding. Simpson prepared organizational spreadsheet for event. Committee boat with staff has been arranged, need volunteers for committee boat and timer and recorder for 2 finish boats (if no dinghy fleet only need 1 finish boat). Chase boat arranged, but need asst. PRO for chase boat, Onofrio volunteers. Burley – no dinghies are coming, so only need 1 finish boat. Boulding – 6 pre–registrations. Exhibit Quest donating a rack for Ship’s Store. Protest committee covered, coffee/donuts from Seagulls on Sat a.m. for $300 and box lunches for volunteers. Plenty of volunteers for chili, Boulding will bring vegetable platter, corn bread, soft drinks. Onofrio will obtain beer keg. Griggs obtaining chili prizes. Boulding has bowls, beer cups, utensils. Margaret Wolf and Moreland will bring cake. Onofrio will send final email tomorrow.

6. Pueblo Regatta – Malouff. Regatta is on. Edwards has everything covered.

7. Ship’s Store – Chinburg. Burgees will be available for Columbus Day. Small supply of other items will also be present.

8. 2008 Leukemia Cup. Kickoff meeting 10/9 at Leukemia/Lymphoma Society office, Moreland is event chair.

9. New Officers. Moreland to be Vice Commodore, Alicia Cope will be Treasurer, Chiburgs will be race chairs, need social chair – Jim Stark suggested.

10. Other. Malouff – we need to improve outreach to other clubs by traveling to and helping with their regattas, etc., taking PRO training.

Discussion of new marks, possible permanent starting mark. Need park approval for marks.
