Called to order at 1815 by Malouff

1. Review of minutes. Malouff will email previous month’s minutes with notice of current meeting and recipients should bring copy to current meeting. Motion by Boulding/Malouff to approve Nov. 12 minutes. Carried unan.

2. Treasurer’s report – Moreland. Handed out Profit/Loss Statement 1/06–11/07, Balance Sheets – 11/20/07 and 10/31/07, and Budget for Cash Flow. We may have to start making tax returns. Motion by Onofrio/Boulding to approve treasurer’s report. Carried unan.

3. Race Director’s Report – Chinburg. Still needs to discuss with Burley. New ideas for anchoring and repainting marks will be considered.

Ship’s Store – plans to put product pictures on website. Investigating new car stickers. We paid for burgees and have not received them. Company seemed to be reputable. They promised all 100 burgees by end of November, but did not deliver. Recourse is through Federal Trade Commission and Post Office. Motion by Wolf/Dawson – Malouff will send certified letter demanding product by Jan. 1 or we will complain to FTC and Post Office. Carried unan.

4. Social Director Report. Next event at Onofrio house Jan. 12.

5. Old Business.

Leukemia Cup – Malouff. Leukemia Society will not help with fund raising for regatta. Should we host a regtta independent of Society? Simpson – SAIL is holding a place for our regatta. Boulding – Society not likely to go elsewhere for a regatta. Perhaps we should solicit another charity. “Weather Anchor Challenge” is property of Society. Simpson – how about an open Fagawie? Consensus is to host a regatta called “Chatfield Open”. Simpson – how about having pig roast as regatta social event.

Boulding – has not sent thank you’s/stipends for Columbus Day power boat support. Will still do.

6. New Business.

Dawson will coordinate Boat Show, Jan 17–20. Moreland has paid registration fee. Wilson has 100 discount tickets. Vance Meyer volunteers to direct CSYC youth sailing program. Wolf – what about liability incurred by working with children? Moreland will check our liability coverage. Our booth will include Shelton video and maybe a dinghy. Objective is to recruit new members and promote youth sailing. Discussion of our own childrens’ activity separate from consolidated Show childrens’ activity.

Adjourned 1915.
