Colorado Sail and Yacht Club is a community of boaters and enthusiasts located at Chatfield Reservoir. All boaters are welcome, if you own a boat or not, or if you just like being around other boaters. You are welcome whether you are a discriminating owner, a seasoned crew, a young family with your first boat, or just interested in boating, our club is here for you.

We offer a host of activities throughout the year. These give you a chance to meet others with your interests or challenge your skills in sailing through a comprehensive racing schedule.

With your membership you also become a member of Yachting Club of America (YCA).

Social get togethers are planned for the first Saturday of each month (with some flexibility on the actual date of the event). Events include Dinner on the Docks after racing on Wednesdays, Raft-Ups for Power and Sail, training seminars on navigation, cruising, racing and more. With our growing membership we also offer Cruise groups, boater forums and a large library of boating books.

Community Service provided by the CS&YC has included fundraisers, which has raised more than $200,000.00 for local charities, support of Colorado Youth Sailing and participation in the Boat Show Kid’s Clinic.

Sailboat Racing is held at Chatfield Reservoir from April through October. We offer club racing in the form of Wednesday Night Racing from April through September, Monday Night Racing for new racers and general practice for all racers and crew, Tuesday Night Dinghy Racing for youth and adults, two regattas, one of which is on the S.A.I.L. Tour, at the end of May and Columbus Day. There is also the Fagawi all night race.

Youth Sailing will be a new part of the CS&YC in 2008.

Yachting Club of America (YCA). There are more than 750 yacht clubs registered with YCA including Hawaii, Virgin Islands, and Alaska that offer club reciprocity with courtesy dockage and facilities. Members find this a great advantage when traveling.
